No-Bean Chili - a schedule friendly meal the whole family will love!
This no-bean chili has a great hearty texture. Make this for an impressive weeknight meal that will taste like you've been cooking all day.
Without the use of beans, it is keto-friendly and low in anti-nutrients, easy on the tummy, and highly bioavailable.
Top with sour cream, grated cheese, hot sauce, avocado, chopped onion, jalapeno, or your favorite toppings!

- Cook time: 1 1/2 hrs
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb (8 oz) ground beef
- 1 lb (16 oz) ground pork
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (omit if prefer not spicy, add more if prefer spicier)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp ground paprika
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 7 salt to taste (add Sriracha salt for extra spice!)
- 1/2 bell pepper
- 1/2 onion
- 14.5 oz can fire roasted tomatoes with chipotles
- 4 oz canned green chiles
- 2 tbsp harissa (see Subs & Adds below for alternative)
Instructions
- Sautee ground meats over medium heat.
- While cooking, season with spices.
- Preserve 1 tbsp of oil in pan.
- Sautee bell pepper in preserved oil until softened.
- Remove bell pepper from pan and set aside (leave remaining oil in the pan).
- Sautee 1/2 onion in remaining oil. Cook until softened.
- Add 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes with chipotles, green chiles, and harissa and stir to combine.
- Return cooked meat to pot and stir to combine.
- Partially cover an cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Return bell pepper to pot and heat thoroughly.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.

Subs & Adds
- If you don't have harissa, you can sub in an additional 1 tsp of each of the recommended spices.
- Other ground meats, such as lamb, chicken, or turkey, can be subbed for some or all of the recommended meats.
- If you prefer a spicier chili, try subbing in a spicier dried pepper mix!
