Gluten-Free Chaffles and Gravy: Packed with Flavor
Chaffles and gravy: A match made in heaven!
The ideal combination of crispy, cheesy chaffles and the indulgent goodness savory sausage gravy.
The perfect harmony of cheesy crisp and creamy gravy!
- Serves: 1
- Prep time: 5 mins
- Cook time: 20 mins
STEP 1 - CHAFFLES:
STEP 2 - SAUSAGE GRAVY
Ingredients
- 2 oz ground pork
- 1 oz cream cheese
- 1 oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 oz broth
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Saute ground pork over medium heat until cooked thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste.
- Add remaining ingredients (cream cheese, heavy cream, and broth), stir to combine, and heat over medium heat until well combined and desired texture is achieved. If your sauce becomes too thick, add more broth to thin it out. If your sauce becomes too watery, add more heavy cream to thicken it up and cook longer.
STEP 3 - PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:
- Place prepared chaffles on a plate, top with sausage gravy, and enjoy!
Subs & Adds
- You can substitute biscuits for the chaffles by following our Pizza crust recipe, following the instructions listed at the bottom of the recipe.
- Seasonings for the sausage gravy are almost unlimited. A traditional twist is to add sage. One of my fav twists is to add a few dashes of hot sauce.
- Subbing in your favorite pre-seasoned sausage for the ground pork is a great way to add another layer of flavor to the dish.
